André Lanskoy (Russian-French, 1902-1976)

Biography

A Russian painter and printmaker who lived and worked in France. Still little-known in Russia today, André Lanskoy was an important artist in the French post-war abstract movements. Considered an artist of the Seconde École de Paris, Lanskoy’s style is closely associated with Tachisme with richly textured impasto works being some of the most sought-after today.
